Arrow Replica Safe Inside

An elaborate exact replica of a CF-105 Avro Arrow fighter is now safely tucked in a hangar at Edenvale Airport as the centrepiece of the Canadian Air and Space Conservancy. The replica, faithful in every detail to the iconic aircraft, was parked outside at Pearson Airport for several years after the Canadian Air and Space Museum was evicted from its quarters at Downsview. Earlier this year, the natural deterioration of the full-scale model became critical and the owners of Edenvale answered the call.

It took a huge truck to move the model from Pearson to Edenvale and the main fuselage was moved inside Dec. 5. Wingtips and tail feathers followed. The owners still have offices at Pearson.
