Flashlight in the Nosegear

Jan. 16/15-The Air Canada Express Bombardier CRJ 705 (AC8903, C-FTJZ) was in climb after take-off when the crew retracted the landing gear and received a nose landing gear unsafe light. The crew decided to return to the airport and although an emergency was not declared, ARFF was standing by for the uneventful landing. Once the aircraft arrived back at the gate the ground crew noticed a flashlight was stuck in the nose gear. The flashlight was removed and after an inspection by maintenance it was determined that there was no damage to the nose gear retraction system and the aircraft was returned to service.
