2018-04-23
C-FXCA, a Boeing 767-300 aircraft operated by Air Canada rouge, was conducting flight ROU1901 from Athens/Eleftherios Venizelos Intl, Greece (LGAV) to Toronto/Lester B. Pearson Intl, ON (CYYZ). During the approach to CYYZ, the flight crew received an EICAS message for the slats upon selection of flaps/slats. A missed approach was executed and the flight crew declared a PAN PAN as a precaution. On the second approach, the aircraft landed without further event with ARFF standing by.
During troubleshooting, the operator’s maintenance found several slat proximity sensors out of rig.
Re-rigging was performed in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance Manual and, after
subsequent successful operations, the aircraft was returned to service.
