Jazz Aviation – Bombardier DHC-8-400 – Engine Fire Warning

C-GGCI, a Bombardier DHC-8-400 aircraft operated by Jazz Aviation LP, was conducting flight JZA8982 from Ottawa/Macdonald-Cartier Intl, ON (CYOW) to Montreal/Pierre Elliott Trudeau Intl, QC (CYUL). After the passengers had deplaned after the arrival in CYUL, the flight crew received a number 1 Engine Fire Warning indication. The number 1 fire handle was pulled; the indication stopped momentarily for a period of approximately 5 to 10 seconds. Subsequently, the number 1 Engine Fire Warning indication reappeared, which prompted the flight crew to discharge the fire bottles. ARFF services were requested for assistance. There were no visual evidence of fire, smoke or any other abnormalities.
