The Canadian Ninety-Nines have announced a total of $2,500 in grants to two museums to enhance their exhibits. The group is giving $2,000 to the Canadian Museum of Flight in Langley, B.C. to update its current exhibit on Women In Aviation. “Initially, the exhibit will feature Canadian women in aviation and as it evolves and expands it will become more global,” the groups said in a news release.”Along with relevant photographs, prose, videos and artifacts, QR codes will provide links to more information.
The Canadian Bushplane Heritage Heritage Centre will get $500 to help fund a major renovation to its children’s learning centre, which offers programs for Grade 5 and 6 kids. “(The museum) plan(s) to upgrade the centre with more modern interactive exhibits, a small theatre for both live and film presentations, improve seating and craft areas and rebuild a cockpit for children to sit in.
