Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame Announces 2025 Inductees


The 2025 inductees include:

  • Bruce Aubin (for his life-long contributions to the aviation industry and the advancement of more efficient maintenance and improved aircraft safety).
  • Tracy Medve (for her contributions to the development of the business of aviation in Canada, including her leadership at Canadian North and KF Aerospace).
  • Calin Rovinescu (for his many contributions to air transportation in Canada and internationally, including his leadership at Air Canada).
  • Max Shapiro (for his contributions spanning a career that began with bush flying in northwest Ontario to the management and sale of Voyageur Airways).

The Hall of Fame (CAHF) is also awarding the Defence and Civil Institute of Environmental Medicine with its Belt of Orion Award for Excellence, citing the institution’s world leadership in innovation related to the performance of humans in aviation and aerospace.

Formal induction of the new members will take place during the organization’s annual gala on September 4, 2025, in Calgary.

The CAHF was founded in 1973 and has inducted over 250 notable achievers in the nation’s aviation and aerospace sectors. To learn more about the CAHF and to read about the current (2024) inductees, click here.
