Lear Touches Wing On Landing

April 24/14-The Air Tindi Ltd Learjet 35A, C-GXCB, was operating as flight DA 351 from Yellowknife, NT (CYZF) to Cambridge Bay, NU (CYCB). While landing on Runway 31 at CYCB, the right wing suddenly dropped. The aircraft was at approximately 20 feet above the runway and at a speed of Vref plus 5 knots. The pilot attempted to level the aircraft but the right wingtip fuel tank contacted the runway as the aircraft touched down. The winds at the time were approximately 270 degrees at 8 knots. The aircraft sustained minor damage and was removed from service for repairs.
