Passenger Falls Out of Balloon

June 8/14-The Sundance Balloons (2008) Ltd. Cameron Balloon A-250 (C-FYEE) was landing in a farmer’s field after a fifty minute flight. Upon touchdown one of the passengers was ejected from the gondola and was injured contacting the ground. The sudden loss of weight caused the balloon to lift off and was landed again without incident in the adjoining field. EMS attended the scene and took the passenger to a local hospital. Wind was reported to be at 5 knots at the time of landing. All passengers received a flight briefing prior to departure on what procedures to follow during a landing.
