The Amber Airways Ltd. float equipped Cessna 180B, C-FJOD, was departing Keele Lake, YT to return to Whitehorse, YT. Shortly after lift off, the pilot evaluated the winds coming down the valley towards the lake and felt it would be best to land. After landing on the lake, the pilot turned around to taxi back to the camp. During the water taxi, the wind increased in velocity to the point where it yawed the aircraft to the right. The left wing struck the water and the aircraft overturned. The pilot egressed with little difficulty, grabbed a life vest and waited on the floats for pickup. People from the camp recovered the pilot about 45 minutes after the accident. The ELT did not activate.
