Ag Wagon Takeoff Accident

July 19/14-C-GYWZ (Cessna 188 Ag Wagon) was taking off from an unmaintained road near Stead, MB, prior to an aerial application flight (fungicide: Proline). During takeoff the aircraft experienced a crosswind from the right, and the right wing tip became entangled in tall grass adjacent to the roadway. The wing dipped and the aircraft swerved to the right through the ditch. The aircraft sustained damage to its right wing tail, engine and propeller and the pilot sustained minor injuries. The aircraft has been removed from service pending repairs.
