Message: It was a calm Wednesday evening, and sunny. I had waited 3 weeks past my 14th birthday for good weather to solo, and it finally arrived! Dave stepped out and away I went. I wasn’t alone – a fly was in the cockpit with me, so I had someone to talk to!The circuit was routine, but I needed to extend the downwind for traffic on the runway. Once I landed my dad was waiting there to pin my wings on me.it was fun but scary.
