Bombardier Adds Maintenance Centre

Bombardier Aerospace continues to expand its worldwide customer services network with the appointment of Harrods Aviation Limited as an Authorized Service Facility (ASF) for business aircraft customers based in or flying to Europe. The new ASF in London Luton, United Kingdom, will be capable of performing line maintenance for Challenger 300 and Challenger 605 aircraft and line and heavy maintenance for Global business aircraft.

“The new addition to Bombardier’s expanding aftermarket network will provide our business aircraft customers with even more options for high quality maintenance services closer to home,” said Eric Martel, President, Customer Services & Specialized and Amphibious Aircraft, Bombardier Aerospace. “With its wealth of experience, we are confident that Harrods Aviation can deliver first-class services to operators in the region.”

Harrods Aviation, located at Luton London airport, provides line and base maintenance, as well as AOG services supported by a team of more than 14 technicians. The 5,090 square meter (approximately 54,788 square feet) maintenance facility offers a variety of on-site services with capabilities to perform major and minor scheduled maintenance, re-work and modifications for business aircraft customers.

The appointment of Harrods Aviation to Bombardier’s service and maintenance network brings the number of ASFs catering to Bombardier’s business aircraft customers to more than 55 facilities worldwide. These are supported by nine Bombardier-owned service centres in North America and Europe, with a new facility for business aircraft to be opened in Singapore in 2013.
