Message:I soloed in a J-3 Cub after 12 hours of dual instruction. There was a gusty headwind but other then that it went great. I was inspired to learn in a J-3 after reading the book flight of passage written by Rinker Buck when I was 10. I began training when I was 18 and soloed a day after my 19th birthday.
