Engine Failure Causes Diversion

Oct. 18/14-The Helijet S76 (C-GHJL), flight JBA784, from Victoria Harbour (CBF7) to Vancouver Harbour (CBC7) was at 3000 feet over Point Grey when the number 2 engine (Rolls Royce 250 C30) lost power. An emergency was declared with Vancouver Harbour Tower and the flight diverted to Vancouver International (CYVR). The aircraft landed on runway 13. There were no injuries. It was determined a fuel governor had failed. The governor was replaced and the aircraft returned to service. A Service Difficulty Report has been filed with Transport Canada.
