Gear Collapses on Homebuilt

Jan. 23/14-The ski-equipped amateur-built Martin Canadian Cruiser aircraft (C-GUSL) was on the take-off run from a snow covered runway. Directional control was lost when the left main gear collapsed. As the aircraft slowed it veered off to the left of the runway where it came to rest. The left main landing gear, wing tip and the propeller were damaged.
