Privately Operated Cessna 170B – Ground Loop after Landing

N2578C, a privately operated Cessna 170B, was on a VFR flight from Manning, AB (CFX4), to Fort
Nelson, BC (CYYE) with two crew members and one passenger on board. The aircraft successfully
touched down on Runway 22 in CYYE but on the landing roll out, control of the aircraft was lost
and the aircraft performed a ground loop.
There were no injures and the aircraft taxied clear of the
runway.
There was substantial damage to the outer portion of the left wing, and minor damage to
the left elevator and left main wheel assembly.
