Message: It was a cloudy day, wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to fly or not. Turns out that was a good thing. Clouds were high and the atmosphere was stable. I had the week off work so I was flying every day that week. I did 3 or 4 circuits and my instructor asked me how I was feeling about it, and I just said “awesome, this is fun!” Then he radioed and told the controller’s he was getting out and it was going to be my first solo. I felt light as a feather in that little airplane with just me in it. Best feeling in the world. Turned out to be perfect timing as this day was also my 30th birthday. Best birthday present ever!
