Comment:It was a snowy and cloudy morning in November. My instructor and I did a few circuits together then he told me to let him out on a taxiway near the runway. My first solo takeoff went smoothly but ATC kept me on the runway heading for a bit for traffic separation. Once turning downwind I reported and was asked to do a 360, again for traffic, and then got an extended downwind as well. They say your first solo landing is one of the smoothest you’ll ever do and mine fit right in to that category. Back on the taxiway while my instructor was getting back in the small 152, ATC congratulated me and said I should make sure my instructor knew it was their fault the circuit was so big.
