C-GMDP, a privately operated Robinson R44 helicopter, was on a visual flight rules flight from Sainte-Pétronille, QC to Jean Lesage Intl Airport in Quebec, QC (CYQB) with only the pilot on board, when on take-off, the right skid was caught in the ice and the aircraft tipped to the side causing considerable damage. The pilot was slightly injured.
