Snowbank Wrecks 182

March 9/14-The privately owned Cessna 182S aircraft (C-GPJH) was on final approach to land when it struck a snow windrow, approximately three feet in height, at the beginning of the runway. The nose gear collapsed from the impact and the aircraft skidded on its nose until it came to a stop on the runway. The two occupants exited the aircraft with no injuries and the pilot switched off the ELT after it was determined that it had activated. The aircraft was substantially damaged during the landing.
