Sonex Runway Overrun

May 1/13-The privately owned amateur built Sonex aircraft (C-GGDR) was on a local flight at Lindsay (CNF4). After completing the circuit, the aircraft touched down and the pilot was unable to bring the aircraft to safe stop on the runway. The aircraft went off the end of the runway into a mud field at an estimated 20 knots. The nose landing gear collapsed and the propeller contacted the ground. The two souls on board were not injured, but the aircraft was substantially damaged.
