Dec. 12/13-A privately registered Cessna 421B, C-GFMX, with 2 POB was en route from Abbotsford, BC to Torino, BC under IFR. The aircraft was lost on ATC radar in the vicinity of Tofino. A search commenced and the aircraft wreckage was located the following morning on an island about 5 nm NW of the Tofino airport. Both POB were fatally injured; there was no fire.
