C-GYHQ, a Bell 212 aircraft operated by Yellowhead Helicopters, was conducting water bucketing operations 50 nm North of Peace River, AB (CYPE), when the bucket and long line were unintentionally released.
It is suspected that the manual release cable was rigged too short
