Images From the Snowbirds’ Final Canadian Public Airshow

It has been a little more than a week that the Snowbirds made what is expected to be their last public aerobatic performance in Canada using the venerable Canadair Tutor Jet. The event was at AERO Gatineau-Ottawa.

A pair of appearances in California in October are planned, and it is hoped that there will be a flyover at the CFL Grey Cup game in Calgary on November 15. The team is then destined to stand down until the 2030s at the earliest.

Former Snowbirds pilot and Team Leader Dan Dempsey offered these images from the AERO Gatineau night drone show, which was dedicated to the Snowbirds.

Dan also directs us to a video of this last Canadian show created by 2026 Snowbirds Team Leader Major Maciej “Match” Hatta titled One Last Flight.

Canadian Aviator photography contributor and Honorary Snowbird Kin Lin offers video of the Concorde to Artemis formation sequence from the show. Included is cockpit audio from Major Hatta in Snowbird No. 1. Click here.
