GoFundMe Benefits Eric Dumigan’s Family


A GoFundMe campaign for the family of renowned Canadian Aviation photographer Eric Dumigan has been set up and dozens of donations have been received. Dumigan died unexpectedly and resulted in an outpouring of social media grief and comment. He is survived by his wife Bernadette. Dumigan was an occasional contributor to Canadian Aviator and published hundreds of photos and stories in dozens of aviation magazines all over the world. He was based in Ilderton, Ontario and most recently worked on the ramp and as a photographer for the International Test Pilots School in London, Ont.

Dumigan came from a line of aviation photographers. His grandfather plied the craft in the 1930s and his father built a career photographing the golden age of Canadian aviation with iconic images of everything from the Avro Arrow to De Havilland and Canadair products. Eric Dumigan was a fixture at fly-ins, airshows and aviation events throughout southern Ontario and his career spanned 30 years.
