Bombardier Sells 20 Of Its New Jet

A week after announcing an upgraded version of one of its most popular business jets, Bombardier secured an order for 20 of them. The company unveiled the 3500, a refreshed Challenger 350, which adds some state-of-the-art features to the decades-old platform. The buyer was not disclosed but the deal is worth more than $700 million CAD. Bombardier has maintained pricing on the upgraded aircraft at $26.7 million.

The 3500 adds a voice-activated cabin, 4K TV screens and the same seats as the flagship Global 7500 but perhaps one of the most attractive features is cabin pressurization. The aircraft pressurizes to about 6,000 feet, about 31 percent lower than the 350 and shown to reduce jet lag and fatigue in those on the plane. The new Challenger 3500 aircraft is ideally suited to meet a growing demand for business travel,” said Peter Likoray, Senior Vice President, Sales, New Aircraft, Bombardier. “The new Challenger 3500 aircraft is ideally suited to meet a growing demand for business travel,” said Peter Likoray, Senior Vice President, Sales, New Aircraft, Bombardier.
