Abbotsford Doing A Drive-In Show In August

The Abbotsford International Airshow was added to the short list of shows scheduled for this year in Canada. Like the London Airshow, which pioneered the concept in 2020, patrons will watch the show from their cars and a little patch of real estate around them. The show will run from Aug. 6-8 and there will be four shows, including evening performances Aug. 6 and 7 with daytime performances on the seventh and eighth.

The shows will go for up to four hours and feature the Snowbirds, CF-18 demo team, USAF F-22 and various other performers. Portable washrooms will be available but there will be no food or beverage vendors. Patrons can bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks. A limited number of tickets are available and they’re expected to go fast. Last year’s show was cancelled, only the second cancellation since its inception in 1962. The 1998 show was cancelled for financial issues.
