CAHS Convention Next Week

There are still tickets available for the annual convention of the Canadian Aviation Historical Society which takes place May 22-25 at John Abbott College in the village of Ste. Anne de Bellevue, just west of Montreal. There is a full agenda of speakers, all of them authors of books related to activities of the RCAF. From dam busters in the Second World War to airships to 55 years of Sea King operations, there’s a comprehensive program of experts on RCAF contributions.

The keynote speaker is Major John Maris CD (Ret.)  who was recipient of the Trans-Canada McKee Trophy in 2005 and a 2018 inductee into Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame. In addition to the formal program, attendees can tour the Bombardier CSeries prototype, view a DC-3 under restoration, the rebuild of a CF-100 Canuck and a Griffon helicopter. Registration information is here.
