Collége Air Richelieu First In ATO Pilot

Collége Air Richelieu has become the first flight school in Canada to become an Approved Training Organization (ATO) in a Transport Canada pilot project to update flight training methods. The pilot project will develop the regulatory framework, based on International Civil Aviation Organization standards, to govern and certify ATOs. As part of the project, Collége will introduce competency based training to produce pilots specifically schooled in the tasks and skills required to fly modern airliners. The approach is being adopted all over the world to streamline flight training and create graduates who are focused on safely and competently operating in the modern cockpit environment

“We are very proud of being the first training centre in Canada to join the Transport Canada Pilot Project and we will seize this opportunity to offer even more adapted training to our Canadian and international clients. In this context, we plan to open new centres in Canada,” declared Thierry Dugrippe, President of Air Richelieu.
