Transport Canada continuing airworthiness received a service difficulty report from an operator in Thunder Bay, Ontario who found a cracked MS210424 nut in their stock after complying with Civil Aviation Safety Alert CASA 2013-04 and EASA Safety Information Bulletin 2012-06R2. The nut(s) in question are used in various general aviation aircraft types, and have been forwarded to the TSB Engineering Laboratory in Ottawa for examination. This Class 5 occurrence number has been generated in an aid to track and disseminate the results of the examination.
