The 50th anniversary of Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame (CAHF) will be celebrated next year as more high achievers in Canada’s aviation and aerospace industries are inducted into the august body.
Those who will join the other 248 individuals and 26 organizations already inducted are Harvey Friesen, Gary Gray, Keith Hopkinson and Ken Lett. The Canadian Armed Forces 1 Canadian Air Division will also be recognized with The Belt of Orion Award for Excellence.
The induction ceremony will be held on September 14, 2023, at Sunwest Aviation in Calgary. CAHF has announced that the keynote speaker will be Colonel Chris Hadfield (Ret’d), who was himself inducted into the CAHF in 2005.
The CAHF was recently relocated from Wetaskiwin to Calgary, where their new home is at the Hangar Flight Museum, located on the southern edge of international airport’s grounds.
