Global 7500 Certified


The centrepiece of Bombardier’s exhibit at the National Business Aviation Association convention (NBAA-BACE) in Orlando next week will be the newly-certified Global 7500 business jet, which it describes as the “largest, most luxurious and longest range business jet ever built.” Transport Canada certified the plane in late September and it will take direct aim at Gulfstream’s line of long-range, large-cabin aircraft, that have had free reign in the transoceanic luxury market for almost a decade. The Global 7500 aircraft has succeeded in elevating every standard by which a business jet is measured – comfort, luxury, performance and a smooth ride,” said David Coleal, president of Bombardier Business Aircraft. At entry-into-service, this aircraft will meet the latest and all of the most stringent certification requirements and is set to redefine international business jet travel. We couldn’t be more proud of this achievement.”

The aircraft was named with its estimated maximum range but rather than 7,500 nautical miles, the range is actually 7700 nautical miles. The range is the longest in its class and allows flights between New York and Hong Kong and Singapore to San Francisco. While the range has been extended, the takeoff distance has been reduced to 5800 feet, which can be significant for companies serving far-flung operations.
