Low Fuel Prompts Runway Change

Feb. 8/14-A B737-800 operating as Sunwing Airlines (SWG) 675 was en route to Vancouver, arriving from the east. The parallel runways 08R/L were active. The flight crew requested the terminal controller to coordinate their landing for R26R/L due to low fuel. The crew did not declare an emergency but indicated that they would not be able to make it around for R08R/L. They would have to land R26R/L or divert to their alternate, Abbotsford. The controller coordinated the approach and landing on R26R. The flight landed without further event.
