Pacific Avionics Gets Brazilian Air Force Contract

August 19, 2013, Vancouver, B.C…Pacific Avionics & Instruments, a Division of IMP Group Ltd (Pacific) has won a

np-francois-laflammecontract to support avionics, instruments and components from the Brazilian Air Force fleet of UH-60 BLACK HAWK Helicopters.

The value of Brazilian BLACK HAWK contract is $US 2.2 million, and supports its avionics, instruments and ground support test equipment, the company reports.

“Winning this contact affirms Pacific’s leadership position in avionics support services,” said Pacific vice-president and general manager, Gordon Bott. “After nearly 50 years in this business, we have the expertise to provide quick turn-times and quality workmanship for both civilian and military avionics.”

Pacific has placed full time staff in Brazil to handle logistics and communications with the Brazilian authorities. This is one of the first contracts of this type awarded by the Brazilian Aeronautical Commission to a foreign company. Read more…

Civil Aviation Administration China (CAAC) Issues Support Certificate To Pacific Avionics & Instruments

August 19, 2013, Vancouver, B.C. … Pacific Avionics & Instruments, a Division of IMP Group Ltd. (“Pacific”) has received Civil Aviation Administration China (CAAC) part 145 approval for repair, overhaul and modification of avionics, aircraft instruments and aircraft components. The approval was issued following an on-site audit of Pacific’s facilities and quality system in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. CAAC approval is for 2 years and is subject to renewal on successful re-audit by CAAC.
