Runaway Plane Hits Cadet

May 4/13-The Beech Sierra B24R aircraft, C-GFPI, was on the ramp at Iroquois Falls Airport (CNE4) with the owner on board. The owner was intending to crank the engine but not to start it. As the engine rotated it fired up and the unrestrained aircraft moved quickly across the ramp. In the meantime a musical band of air cadets had been practising on the tarmac and were filing out when the aircraft came across the line and struck one of the cadets with the left wing. The aircraft continued and came to a stop against a chain link fence on the airport. The air cadet received minor injuries and was taken to hospital but was released later in the day.
