Air Canada Airbus 320-200 – Separation Warning

C-FDQQ, an Airbus 320-200 aircraft operated by Air Canada, was conducting flight ACA201 from
Vancouver Intl, BC (CYVR) to Calgary Intl, AB (CYYC). ACA201 had been cleared for the ILS
Runway 17R approach in CYYC. C-GGOK, a Bombardier DHC-8-400 aircraft operated by Jazz
Aviation LP, was conducting flight JZA585 from Saskatoon/John G. Diefenbaker Intl, SK (CYXE) toCalgary Intl, AB (CYYC). JZA585 had been cleared for the ILS Runway 17L approach in CYYC. While both aircraft were being vectored, the separation between the two eroded to 2.6 nautical miles laterally and 500 feet vertically, where 3.0 nautical miles or 1000 feet is required.
