Air Canada – Boeing 767-300 – Bird Strike

C-FIYE, a Boeing 767-300 aircraft operated by Air Canada rouge, was conducting flight ROU1831 from Vancouver Intl, BC (CYVR) to Honolulu/Daniel K Inouye Intl, HI (PHNL). Shortly after takeoff from Runway 26L at CYVR, the flight crew observed a bird strike the aircraft just below the nose. However, no unusual handling or abnormal engine indications were observed. The flight crew elected to continue to PHNL and landed without further incident.
Upon further inspection by maintenance personnel in PHNL, evidence of bird impact was found to the left side of the nose, below the radome. Additionally, there were minor damage to the left engine.
