Piper Colt Clips Fence

May 31/14-The privately-owmed Piper PA-22-108 (C-FWMR) was conducting circuits at Runway 04, Sundridge ON (CPE6). During final approach for the third touch and go the aircraft main landing gear snared the wire on the top of the airport perimeter fence. The aircraft decelerated rapidly and impacted the ground short of the runway, coming to a rest nearly vertical after causing significant damage to the propeller, engine cowl and left wing. The pilot and sole occupant received minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for evaluation.
