C-GOGZ, a Bombardier CL-415 water bomber aircraft operated by the Province of Ontario, was conducting fire suppression operations near Pikangikum (CYPM), ON with 2 pilots on board. While
scooping water on a lake, the flight crew heard a bang and immediately received failure indications on the bomb system panel. The flight crew aborted the pickup, climbed out of the lake, and
returned to Dryden Regional (CYHD), ON where the aircraft landed without further incident. The aircraft sustained minor damage to the hull and water bombing system.
